After nearly 7 months of post-wedding bliss and procrastination (but mostly procrastination), I’m excited to finally share the details from our destination wedding weekend at the Omni Mount Washington Resort!
My husband and I got married on Saturday, August 20, 2022 in New Hampshire. Given it was a destination wedding, we planned a full weekend of celebrations with our guests. (See also: Wedding related posts)
Wedding Weekend Overview
My husband and I headed up early Thursday morning to the Omni from New York (approximately 4.5 hrs). Since I accumulated a ridiculous amount of luggage and wedding decor, we rented a U-Haul to take us to the mountains.
Upon arrival/check-in, I felt overwhelmed by my extensive to-do list. Of course, in true Type-A Bride fashion, I had a vision of exactly how I wanted the room to look. I refused to accept help from anyone because why would I want to make things easier for myself? LOL. The pressure only heightened as the clock grew closer to our dinner reservation at 7:30 PM with my family and bridesmaids.
By the power of the bridal goddesses, I was dressed and ready for dinner with enough time for a pre-dinner photo-op.
Afterwards, we had a lovely dinner at 1902 in a private dining room arranged by the Resort’s wedding coordinator. I remember feeling so loved sitting there surrounded by my husband to-be, my family and, my very best friends. Under those circumstances, I immediately felt at ease and was ready to celebrate the start of our wedding weekend!

The Day Before – Friday, 8/19
At last, we woke up on Friday morning to a picture perfect summer day and headed straight to pool (with a pit-stop at the coffee shop of course).
In light of our rehearsal that evening, we left the pool around 2 PM, which I thought would give me plenty of time to get ready. However, let’s just say I was very *very* wrong. LOL

Eventually, I arrived down at the rehearsal ceremony. We quickly ran through the ceremony and then headed down to the South Veranda Lawn for our rehearsal dinner.
Equally important, I wore a custom white sequined romper with removable train by Eva Lendel, ‘Rosalind’ crystal heels by Sophia Webster, “Wifey for Lifey” clutch by Sophia Webster, and a crystal headpiece with “BRIDE” earrings from Amazon.
As can be seen above, Amalfi Coast, Italy was the night’s theme. Prior to the event, the Omni Mount Washington provided matching linens and set up everything just as I envisioned.
The Welcome party ended around 10 PM. Afterwards, my bridesmaids helped me prep my bridal suite for the next morning. We had the best time blasting music, blowing up balloons, building champagne towers, and wrapping gifts. As a result, we slipped into bed at 2 AM. At the same time, I set my alarm for 6, placed my phone on the night stand, and whispered quietly, “I’M GETTING MARRIED!”.
